New Entrance German Museum, Munich / Germany
SSP Architekten / 3F Architekten + Deutsches Museum MünchenThe German Museum, Munich was searching for a new entry building. Two architectural offices worked alongside to present two possibilities at the end. The first design is a fully 3D Printed amorph facade developed by 3F Studio: “Fluid Morphology”. The second design developed by Schmidt-Schicketanz und Partner GmbH is a lamella based structure that is easy to deploy. The 3D Printed facade was favored by all participants, but got rejected at the end due to high cost.
